Meridian normalizes venue-specific symbols to canonical products. Query responses always identify the canonical exchange and product; venue aliases are accepted where the instrument registry has a verified mapping.

Futures venues

Examples such as BTC, BTCUSDT, BTC-USDT-SWAP, and BTC-PERP can resolve to canonical BTC futures identities where the requested venue supports the contract.

Canonical alias differences

Some venues or upstream catalogs name the same economic product differently. Meridian returns one canonical product identity: Do not compare broad provider responses only by raw product strings. Resolve aliases first, then compare the common venue/product identities.

Spot venues

Spot data currently covers verified products across Binance, Bybit, OKX, and Coinbase. Coinbase USD symbols such as BTCUSD are normalized alongside USDT products on the other venues.
